FPL Sidekick

One job: tell you who to hold, who to transfer and who to captain each Fantasy Premier League gameweek, with the reasons.

The idea

Most FPL tools give you a wall of stats. FPL Sidekick is built to give you a decision. Every gameweek it aims to recommend a hold, transfer and captain call for your team, and explain why in plain language so you can agree or overrule it.

How it is planned to work each week

  1. Before the deadline, the model reads fixtures, form and injury and price news.
  2. It produces one recommendation: hold, transfer or captain, plus the reasons behind it.
  3. The recommendation is frozen and timestamped before the deadline.
  4. After the gameweek, the result is added to a public track record, wins and misses both.

Where the project stands

Planned role for Claude

The plan is to use the Claude API to turn structured gameweek data into clear, grounded explanations for each recommendation. Before relying on it, the plan is to test it for accuracy, response time and cost across a full gameweek. It is not integrated yet.
